JFK photo in colour. Is it a hoax.

Gossip site TMZ recently ran with an exclusive story that an old photo of John F Kennedy (chilling nonchalant on a yacht with several naked women), saying that the  image “could have altered world events”.

Turns out that the photo may be a hoax and that the image was part of a spread featured in a 1967 issue of Playboy magazine. Here’s the colour version.

The photo was reported to be kept in a drawer  by a man who owned a car dealership, but according to TheSmokingGun.com the photo actually originates in Playboy:

“According to the caption accompanying the Playboy photo spread, four couples were enjoying themselves on a trip to Petit Rameau, an island in the Grenadines. As “Andy” sunned himself on deck, “Elaine” dove naked into the water while “Roxanna” provocatively shimmied up a ladder. In an interview, Larry Dale Gordon, the Playboy photographer who took the yacht image, said that the man TMZ identified as Kennedy was a “paid model,” as were the naked women featured in the shot.” [The Smoking Gun]

You shimmy up that ladder “Roxanna”.

Go check HERE for more info and images from the Playboy article and decided whether TMZ has fallen for a hoax or they just spiced things up a bit hey.

One Response to “JFK photo in colour. Is it a hoax.”

  1. This is really a photo of JFK while serving in the USN circa 1942 in the south Pacific/Solomon Islands. The background to the story and the photo is the USN was seriously considering conscripting women into military service and allowing females to serve aboard combat vessels. JFK then a young Lieutenant (jg), volunteered for this special mission to ascertain if men can serve onboard ship for long periods of time in close quarters with females. The experiment was a complete success but the idea had to be abandoned when five of the six women included in this experiment turned up pregnant and the males aboard ship all came down with a dose of the clap. The sixth female test subject turned out to be a transgendered trans-sexual – this is where the phrase ‘chick with a dick’ entered the lexicon. Shortly after the study, JFK became a war hero and received the Navy/Marine Life Saving Medal. When asked why he volunteered for this study, the young lieutenant (jg) was quoted as saying “ask not what your country can do for you, ask who you can do for your country.” The rest, as they say is apocryphal history.
