Patrik Antonius wins biggest pot in online poker history

Patrik Antonius has raked in $878, 958 in a single hand, making it the largest pot in online poker history.

The action went down on Full Tilt Poker at $500/$1000 heads-up deep pot limit omaha and his opponent was a Swedish player known only as Isildur1.

This is how the monster hand played out.

Antonius in the big blind had  $439,479.50 behind him while Isildur1 had a slightly bigger stack at $450,494.50.

“Isildur1” had the button and raised to $3,000. Antonius called.

The flop came {Q-Spades} {7-Hearts} {5-Hearts}.

Antonius checked. “Isildur1” bet $5,000. Antonius raised to $21,000, and “Isildur1” called.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds}.

Antonius led out with a bet of $48,000. “Isildur1” raised to $192,000. Antonius pushed all-in, and “Isildur1” called after a few moments.

“Isildur1” showed:

{A-Spades} {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

Antonius showed:

{A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {6-Hearts}

Both players had two pair, Aces and Queens. “Isildur1” had a gutshot straight draw as well, while Antonius had the nut flush draw (hearts), as well as a gutshot straight draw of his own.

The river brought the  {8-Diamonds}, giving Antonius a nine-high straight and the massive $879k pot. ” [Poker-King]
