Camps Bay’s most famous resident pops into Caprice.
Well at least her head did!Havn’t seen much of Camps Bay’s most famous resident now that its winter but Marie(click here if you dont know who she is) was out and about last week and said a quick hi to Caprice regulars. She latched onto a familiar face and im not sure what she was doing but she managed to score a free beer from Hankus Loubser.

Many of you may have forgotten but Hankus is no stranger to doing a good deed…in 2003 he made the news for saving the life of a mother and her baby by swimming 25 meters out to sea.He had this to say about the rescue :
“They were fully dressed and I just couldn’t understand how they had got out that far.I rushed out to the sea and dived in.I just went into overdrive and there are some blanks where I cannot exactly remember stuff. But I know it was quite a mission getting them out of the water because of the rocks.Neither of them had a heartbeat and they weren’t breathing. They were both foaming at the mouth and nose and also at the ears. Then a girl, Laurie Tanur, came along and helped me do cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on them. She’s an au pair and good with kids, and she helped me with the boy.”
Now how many of can say you did something like that?Props. For the rest of Hankus’s heroic story CLICK HERE.
