Jimi Hendrix guitar riff named best of all time..
Not often that i post something about music, but this deserves a mention because it is just THAT awesome ( and also because i have a Hendrix t-shirt that makes me look good).
The Jimi Hendrix song, Voodoo Child has been named the greatest guitar riff of all time by MusicRadar.com.
The only two modern songs that cracked the nod for the top 20 were Muse’s Plug In Baby and The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army.
Here’s the top 10:
1. The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
2. Guns N’ Roses – Sweet Child O’ Mine
3. Led Zeppelin – Whole Lotta Love
4. Deep Purple – Smoke On The Water
5. Derek and the Dominos – Layla
6. AC/DC – Back In Black
7. Metallica – Enter Sandman
8. The Beatles – Day Tripper
9. Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit
10. The Rolling Stones – (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction
Great stuff and to get your week rolling here’s the classic Hendrix riff performed at Woodstock (no..not the one in Cape Town). Feel free to throw down some air guitar and in the spirit of the era get naked, stand on your desk and feel the magic.
Peace
Good times.
